Volunteers at the Hospice at Glengarda provide a variety types of support to patients and families.
- Welcome Support
- Companionship
- Baking & Cooking
- Plants – inside and outside (seasonal)
- Flower Arranging
- Seasonal decorating/Special Events support
- Food Preparation
By completing and submitting the application to volunteer at the Hospice at Glengarda, you are:
- Committing to at least 1 year of volunteer service and
- Agreeing to the following statement:
I understand that the information provided in this application to volunteer with the Hospice at Glengarda is part of the volunteer permanent file. It will be kept confidential and only be used to assist in completing the volunteer screening process and in matching me to roles within the hospice or with Hospice patients.
Due to the vulnerable nature of the individuals we support, all potential volunteer candidates are thoroughly screened through interviews and police record checks/vulnerable sector checks.
I understand that if I am accepted as a Volunteer with the Hospice at Glengarda, I am committed to attend mandatory online and in class training and adhere to the mission and values of the Hospice at Glengarda.
I hereby certify that all the information included in this application form is true and complete. I will provide personal and / or professional references when requested.
